This course introduces students to the principles of grant writing and the importance of fundraising for successful conservation. Students will hear directly from conservation professionals who have secured competitive grants and/or worked on innovative financing programs to support their organization. Students will prepare portions of a National Geographic Early Career Grant application, review and offer feedback on their peers’ grants, and learn how to develop effective conservation program budgets.
