Support the Nelson Institute

Diverse group of students posing with Bucky Badger.

The Nelson Institute welcomes and is grateful for various forms of support — discretionary funds for our many programs, internships and mentoring opportunities for students, and introductions to new networks that can help advance our reach and build partnerships around Wisconsin and the world.

Financial gifts from alumni and friends enable the Nelson Institute to build on its rich tradition of excellence and innovation. This private support helps the Nelson Institute attract a talented, bright and diverse student body; hire and retain world-class faculty; and offer an unrivaled portfolio of transformative learning opportunities for our students and the community. Gifts of any size make a difference.

In addition, through the UW Foundation, the official fundraising partner of the Nelson Institute, donors can also contribute appreciated securities, life insurance policies, real estate, personal property or deferred gifts such as bequests, testamentary trusts, and life income trusts.
