Center for Ecology and the Environment

The Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies added a new research center during the 2020-21 academic year: the Center for Ecology and the Environment.

This center formalizes the work of Wisconsin Ecology, which has operated as an informal network and campus home for ecology for more than 20 years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Within this new research center, the 23 different ecology-related academic units on campus will have unique opportunities for collaboration, research, education, and outreach.
