LTE – Natural Resources Program Coordinator and LTE – Program and Policy Analyst

The Wisconsin DNR is hiring a LTE – Natural Resources Program Coordinator and LTE – Program and Policy Analyst based out of Green Bay, Madison, or Rhinelander. Work location is flexible.

This dual LTE appointment is comprised of two 20-hour positions for an expected work schedule of 40 hours per week. The intention is to hire one candidate on both positions. See below for more information on the positions.

Position Summary

Natural Resources Program Coordinator:
This position serves as the Forest Products Program Coordinator within the Bureau of Applied Forestry. The Program Coordinator provides leadership and assistance to support Forest Products Specialists and external partners with program planning, partnership development and project management activities. The Program Coordinator will collaborate with both internal and external customers to determine program approaches for new initiatives related to forest industry and market initiatives while setting goals, objectives, and strategies for successful implementation. This position reports to the Forest Products Services Team Leader. Occasional travel within the state is required.

Program and Policy Analyst

This position serves as the Forest Products Program and Policy Analyst within the Bureau of Applied Forestry. The Program and Policy Analyst works independently to coordinate and conduct analysis, research, and planning to evaluate the effectiveness of forest utilization policies and initiatives. This position also actively collaborates with DNR staff and external partner groups to develop and implement statewide strategies for growing Wisconsin’s forest economy. Occasional travel within the state is required. This position reports to the Forest Products Services Team Leader.

Job Details

This is a Limited Term Employment (LTE) position. LTE positions do not automatically lead to permanent state employment or enjoy the same benefits as permanent employees; however, these positions do offer valuable work experience and an opportunity to learn more about career opportunities with the Department of Natural Resources and the State of Wisconsin.

LTE employees are limited to working 1039 hours per position within a twelve-month period.
