Course Description

Environmental Problem Solving will introduce students to a range of tools and methods to evaluate problems, consider options, and implement solutions. Successful problem-solving will be explored with readings about real-world success stories, problem-solving frameworks, and skill-building activities.

Each week will focus on a different problem-solving skill, with in-class and homework including readings, podcasts/videos, problem sets, role-playing scenarios, innovation challenges, mock negotiations, and independent or group research.

Throughout the course, students will have opportunities to explore environmental issues of personal interest, applying frameworks and strategies from class. No prerequisites.
