Gifts may be used to enhance or expand the center’s teaching, research, and public service roles or to help pursue new opportunities and address strategic priorities, including the top-tier research of CHE faculty and graduate students. Gifts may also be used for faculty, staff, and student recruitment, retention, and morale.

Edge Effects Program Fund – 112900450

Gifts to this fund provide discretionary support that may be used to enhance or expand Edge Effects, the digital magazine and podcast produced by UW-Madison students affiliated with the Nelson Institute Center for Culture, History and Environment.  Gifts may also be used by the leadership team of the Nelson Institute Center for Culture, History and Environment to pursue new teaching/research/outreach opportunities related to Edge Effects, address the program’s strategic priorities, offer student scholarships, and support faculty, staff, and student recruitment, retention, and morale.

Donors who make cumulative gifts of $1,000 or more (to any combination of Nelson Institute funds) in a calendar year will automatically become members of the Nelson Institute Leadership Circle.
