Science and Policy Fellowship

Clean Wisconsin is accepting applications for a summer policy and research fellowship position.

Fellows will assist our Science Program in a variety of tasks in support of Clean Wisconsin’s clean air, clean energy and clean water work.

Assignments may include composing technical briefings and factsheets; gathering data needed to support campaign program positions; synthesizing information related to campaigns for internal use; performing independent secondary research and analysis relevant to campaigns; responding to information inquiries by staff, members, and others; writing scientific whitepapers and reports; analyzing permits, applications, and other technical documents.

  • Completed coursework or other relevant background knowledge/experience in environmental sciences, public health, political/governmental or other related fields
  • Strong writing, verbal and analytical skills
  • Interest in, and commitment to, addressing environmental issues facing Wisconsin
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize scientific information and compose whitepapers/ reports
  • Ability to commit 40 hours a week for 12 weeks
  • DESIRED: Completed undergraduate degree in environmental sciences, political/governmental, public health, or other related fields
