What inspired your interest in the environment and/or community? I grew up in a small Appalachian town in Pennsylvania and spent so much time exploring the woods. Growing up in a place like that helps you see the connection between people and nature. Everyone uses everything they can, and everyone spends a lot of time listening to the trees. Being able to experience that connection firsthand is unreal.
