
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County
The College of Integrated Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at Rock County seeks a Lecturer of Geography for one ONLINE course in fall 2025.
This will be a fixed-term appointment. NOTE: The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term. UW-Whitewater is not an e-verify employer, therefore STEM extensions are not options for work authorization. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon the needs of the University, funding, staffing requirements, enrollment, and external forces. Courses that are to be taught for the fall 2025 semester will be from the following:
- GEO 170 – Disasters: Living on the Edge
Minimum Qualifications
- A Master’s Degree in Geography
- A Master’s Degree in a related field (Geosciences)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience teaching lower-division college geography courses.
- Experience using learning management software to deliver courses. UW-Whitewater uses Canvas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Willingness and Ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training drills
- Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

Well-qualified candidates that teach a 1.0 Full Time Equivalency can expect a starting salary of $50,000 commensurate with the candidate’s education, related experience, and qualifications. For each three credits taught, the pay will be $5,000.
