Sprouts Nature School is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Outdoor Educator to join our team for Summer 2025, starting immediately! If you love working with children and the natural world, this is a great opportunity to inspire curiosity, creativity, and connection to the natural world.
Who We Are
At Sprouts Nature School, we believe learning happens best when it’s hands-on, child-centric, and rooted in nature. We offer children ages 4–12 a playful, engaging environment filled with exploration, discovery, and meaningful experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll guide children through a variety of enriching, outdoor-based activities including:
- Gardening
- Cooking outdoors
- Nature-based art and crafts
- Group games and free play
- Hiking and exploring
- Foraging and learning about local ecosystems
- Local field trips and outdoor adventures
Schedule and Hours
This is a flexible, part-time position. Weekly hours will vary but typically include:
- 1–2 full days/week: 9:00am–3:00pm
- 2–3 shorter days/week: 11:00am–1:00pm or 12:00pm–3:00pm
We’re Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience teaching or leading groups of children, ideally ages 4–12
- Loves the outdoors and is comfortable in a variety of weather conditions
- Is creative, energetic, and adaptable
- Can guide, supervise, and engage children with confidence and care
- Brings curiosity and a love of learning to every day
Bonus if You Have:
- Background in education, environmental science, outdoor education, art, or a related field
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Experience with nature-based learning
