Professor Middlecamp has been awarded the George C. Pimentel Award in Chemical Education

The American Chemical Society (ACS) recently awarded Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies professor, Catherine Middlecamp, with the George C. Pimentel Award in Chemical Education. This award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to chemical education. A faculty co-director of the Community and Environmental Scholars Program (CESP) and interim director for academics and research in the Office of Sustainability, Middlecamp has shown a strong ability to engage faculty and students in chemistry by linking the material to the community and the planet.
