Holly Gibbs, Associate Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies, and part of the Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE) and the Wisconsin Energy Institute, was recognized as the 2017 recipient of the Phillip R. Certain - Gary D. Sandefur Letters & Science Distinguished Faculty Award. Named for Phil Certain and Dean Gary Sandefur, the recipient is chosen based on outstanding leadership and potential future leadership, as well as excellent research, teaching, and service.
