Two free public events with green jobs advocate Van Jones

Van Jones, president and co-founder of the economic reform group Rebuild the Dream, will participate in two free public events at the Tales from Planet Earth film festival in Madison on Monday, March 26.

Jones has more than two decades of experience as a pioneering advocate for both human rights and green jobs and is author of the New York Times best seller "The Green Collar Economy." TIME magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world.

His visit is co-sponsored by the Nelson Institute Center for Culture, History and Environment, the Laurie Carlson Progressive Ideas Forum, the UW Law School Program in Real Estate, Land Use and Community Development, and the UW-Madison Office for Equity and Diversity.

Both events are free and open to the public. Please arrive early; seating is available on a first-come first-served basis.
