Two short films produced by UW-Madison students for last fall's Tales from Planet Earth community and film festival will be screened this month at the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation's Capital, in Washington, D.C. An End to Slim Pickings, by Signe Brewster, takes a look at a creative proposition to grow more fruits and vegetables locally, while Kevin Gibbons' America's Dairy Land spotlights changing racial realities of the Wisconsin's dairy industry. The films will be shown March 24 with other student-produced shorts on the campus of American University. All six of the student films produced for Tales from Planet Earth are viewable online.
