Indigenous people continually adapt to changing climate and landscapes. In today’s layered regulatory environments, on limited land bases, climate change is complex to address for Tribal communities and Tribal governments.
In this training, you will:
- build awareness of how climate is changing through Tribal Ecological Knowledge and place-based evidence, integrated with climate projections in Wisconsin
- learn incremental and engaging ways to begin incorporating adaptation strategies into your work
Collaboration between departments and engagement with Tribal government are essential to developing a climate change adaptation strategy.
How will your department’s work affect your Tribe’s adaptations to the challenges of climate change?
Your facilitator will work with the group for the activities and discussion.
