Welcome facilitators

A facilitator is crucial to successful training. To be a facilitator for these Native Ways for Climate Adaptation trainings, you do not need to be an expert in climate change.

Choose to have one person facilitate the entire training, or divide the work up by lessons.

Facilitators – please review the Climate Change Page and the Facilitator Guides, linked at the bottom, to prepare for facilitating this training.

Working Together

These trainings are designed to be completed as a group.

Groups of at least three people are preferred to complete these trainings, and larger groups of up to 20 will work.

The facilitator(s) will:

  • decide what days and times to meet
  • decide how to organize your time (please fill out the Time Management Outline worksheet, linked below). Will you do this in one meeting, or over multiple days? (See below for an example of a single four-hour training session).
  • share TribesAdapt link with your group in advance
  • review the Facilitator Guide, and assemble materials for the activities
  • print and fill out the Time Management Outline
  • preview the Facilitator Documents

Download and print the Facilitator Guides below prior to your training. Please fill out the appropriate “Time Management Outline” to help guide you as you facilitate the training.
