Indigenous people continually adapt to changing climate and landscapes. Continuing to care for community and steward land ensures sustainability.
In this training, you will:
- build awareness of changing climate through knowledge shared by Tribal professionals, place-based evidence, and climate projections in Wisconsin
- learn incremental and engaging ways to begin incorporating adaptation strategies into your work
Collaboration between departments and engagement with Tribal government are essential to developing a climate change adaptation strategy.
If you have already begun this process, than this training will advance that work. Climate change adaptation is part of everybody’s job.
How will your department’s work affect your Tribe’s adaptations to the challenges of climate change?
Your facilitator will work with the group for activities and discussion.
- Give the group 10 minutes to review Climate Change in Wisconsin for a brief summary of projected changes.
