Ciaran Gallagher is a master's student in the Environment and Resources Program at the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies. Her work in the Holloway Group focuses on air pollution decreases and the public health impacts of decarbonizing the energy and transportation sectors. After working in government at the state and local levels, she is interested in quantifying the benefits of policy decisions and contributing to data-driven governance. Ciaran values interdisciplinary research after working in an environmental geochemistry lab during her undergraduate career, where she investigated heavy metal and micronutrient concentrations of fruit grown in contaminated urban areas. Ciaran graduated from Wellesley College in 2017 with a degree in Environmental Chemistry.
