COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course meets with the Weston Roundtable, a public lecture series that supports community, research and teaching of environmental-sustainability science, technology and policy topics at UW–Madison. Each week features a different guest speaker from academia, government or non-profit organizations. Students develop more robust understanding of the concept of sustainability through analysis of the lectures, which include topics in energy, air and water resources, agriculture, environmental measurement and analysis, modeling, remote sensing, Geographic Information Systems, the built environment, transportation, ecology, and conservation. Global climate change threads run through almost every lecture.
