This just illustrates even more how the water issues affects the everyday lives of those in Kolkata; at times they barely have enough clean water to drink so bathing in clean water would be a luxury for those living in the slums. The pollution in the Ganges affects not just the citizens in drinking and bathing in the water, but also in making fishing in it questionable. Cleaning up the pollution in the Ganges would be a long and difficult process.
