How to Declare
If you are new to the Nelson Institute, come to a group advising session to learn more about the Environmental Studies Major or Certificate program and declare! Please RSVP to an upcoming session on our advising page.
If you would like to pursue the Environmental Studies Major it is strongly recommended that you attend a group advising session as there may be additional paperwork for you to complete prior to declaration.
If you would like to pursue the Environmental Studies Certificate and do not have the time to come to an advising session, please email undergrad@nelson.wisc.edu with your full name and student ID. An adviser will review your record and follow-up with your request.
How to Cancel
If you find that it is not possible to complete your Environmental Studies Major or Certificate program please contact undergrad@nelson.wisc.edu with your full name and student ID to review your record and complete the cancellation process.
There are a few options that you may want to consider:
- If you are currently in the Environmental Studies Major you may switch to the Certificate program
- Request permission to continue the curriculum as a special student
- Withdraw from the Environmental Studies program
