Biography: Nina Chaopricha studies soil carbon and soil organic matter stabilization mechanisms. She greatly enjoyed teaching a Nelson Institute capstone seminar course for undergrads on community-scale composting and career exploration. Nina's co-advisors are Professors Erika Marin-Spiotta and Steve Ventura. Nina has a B.S. in Geosciences from Williams College and an M.S. in Land Resources from UW-Madison, where she examined historic global biofuel burning and soil carbon distribution in the Wisconsin Sugar River Watershed. From 2003-5, she was a Geography Teaching Fellow at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
