"Moving the Heart: Participatory Explorations for Sustainable Development with Farm Community Associations in Ecuador"

Professor Moermond will summarize key elements of the work of Project PLAN as exemplified by three farm community associations in Ecuador followed by a description of the creation of a blend of diverse participatory practices to strengthen these local farm family organizations. This is work in progress aimed at improving the quality of life and enlarging empowerment by exploring a "deeper" understanding of life, gender, family, and community.

Tim Moermond is emeritus professor of zoology and environmental studies, UW-Madison. Feel free to bring lunch to the seminar and stay for the discussion.
