The National Marine Sanctuaries Foundation (NMSF) seeks an organized and experienced writer to produce a concise, visually-compelling summary report for Capitol Hill Ocean Week (CHOW) 2012. The successful candidate will have proven ability to communicate complex information in written form to lay audiences, create engaging and modern products, and exhibit some substantial expertise in ocean issues. Bachelor’s degree is required, advanced degree is preferred. Reporting to NMSF’s Director of Government Relations, the writer will: personally attend all of CHOW 2012 (June 5th-8th) and the NMSF Leadership Awards Dinner (June 5th), thoroughly review transcripts, video, and presentation materials from CHOW 2012 sessions; produce a discussion draft and present it to NMSF; obtain comments on and approval of the draft report from all CHOW 2012 panelists and speakers; meet with NMSF to discuss panelists’ comments and final edits; and complete a final summary report for CHOW 2012.
