Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors Degree Required in urban studies, urban planning, communications, human services or related field of study
Experience / Qualifications:
Experience in urban development, neighborhood revitalization, community outreach or community organizing or related field, ability to effectively present written and verbal information and respond to questions from the general public, and have valid Wisconsin driver's license with the use of an automobile and current auto insurance. Must have exceptional bilingual (Spanish/English) written and oral communication skills in both languages.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:
Join our team who is committed to the delivery of the highest quality health care service. We are seeking a full-time Community Engagement Specialist that is self-motivated, energetic, and a take charge individual.
This position will provide leadership in developing communications strategies and engaging community members in revitalization projects that improve the environmental and economic conditions of Milwaukee's south side neighborhoods.
Responsibilities include: develop and execute community outreach campaigns including door-to-door outreach, direct mail, telephone calls, community meetings, newsletters, etc., develop and disseminate graphic and narrative outreach materials and make public presentations, assist in organizing and coordinating meetings and special events and assume primary responsibility for related promotional and marketing activities, assist in developing grant proposals and reports and other administrative duties, etc.
