Knox College invites applications for a newly created position as Sustainability Coordinator to provide broad institutional leadership and support for the College's efforts to create a culture of sustainability on campus. The position is full-time, 12 months, and begins July 1, 2012. Salary and benefits for the position are competitive. The coordinator will report to the Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services and will serve as convener for the President's Sustainability Task Force.

Responsibilities
Collect and integrate information to monitor progress on meeting college sustainability goals and share this information in multiple formats with campus constituencies; work with the College’ Sustainability Task Force and with students, faculty, and staff across campus to educate and increase collaboration among campus constituencies; work with students and relevant campus units to develop, assess and implement campus programs that will motivate and engage individuals and offices to act more sustainably; work in collaboration with the campus Advancement office to identify and pursue external funding opportunities in the area of sustainability.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree, Master’s preferred, with at least two years of relevant experience. Experience in campus sustainability practices is preferred. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communications skills, the ability to integrate qualitative and quantitative data, an interest in working with non-campus constituents, a well-rounded conception of sustainability that is continually updated with professional development, and a contagious energy and enthusiasm for improving sustainability on campus through innovation and creative practices.
