QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a sustainability related area.
- Three years of responsibility in a sustainability area.
Preferred:
- Strong project management techniques.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to gather, analyze and communicate data.
- Evidence of coalition and relationship building.
- Demonstrated ability with developing, teaching and evaluating sustainability related presentations and outreach efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Environmental Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for fostering a culture of environmental sustainability among the university community by coordinating sustainability priorities, engaging students and staff in sustainability initiatives and promoting the university's positive environmental record. The coordinator will identify, recommend and monitor progress towards the university's climate action plan and university sustainability priorities. The coordinator serves as the liaison between the university and state, regional and national environmental organizations. The coordinator serves as the chair of the environmental sustainability steering committee and reports to the Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Student Life Services.
